Reaching out for help when you are struggling takes amazing strength and courage! I applaud your bravery and I am so excited to walk with you on your journey toward a healthier you! I would describe myself as compassionate, encouraging, non-judgmental, and genuine. I would also venture to say that I am delightful! I look forward to getting to know you as we recapture your strengths and move through your journey together.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC-6112) in the State of Idaho.   I am also an approved supervisor with the Idaho Licensing Board.

As a counselor, I primarily utilize Brainspotting. Brainspotting reveals a person’s unprocessed traumas through fixed eye positions which helps the flow of information between the “thinking brain” and the “reactive, feeling brain”. Brainspotting is beneficial with a variety of issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression and more.

Therapy with me begins with a comprehensive intake; identifying the reasons you have chosen to come to counseling along with how your history has helped shape who you have become and who you are continuing to grow into. After this, we will dive deep into your goals for counseling. What are you hoping to achieve? How do you want to grow and heal? Your involvement in the treatment planning process is instrumental in ensuring we are working together in order to reach your goals. Finally, we begin Brainspotting which may help you actualize your goals in a very tangible way. We will be able to concretely track the progress you are making!

In addition to Brainspotting, I also utilize a systemic, strength based approach, primarily Cognitive Behavior therapy, to assist individuals and families with enhancing their existing assets to work toward their goals and hopes for the future. As the counselor provides a warm, non-judgmental, and empathic environment, the client is able to recognize their individual strengths and bring forth change towards self-actualization. My beliefs encourage individuals to draw from strengths and experiences they already possess in order to navigate through life’s challenges and problem solve independently. When provided with a therapeutic environment, individuals are able to move through challenging life circumstances and learn more appropriate ways to traverse their world. It is important to note that at times, it may be necessary to pull interventions from other therapeutic modalities. It is important for you to communicate how you feel about the treatment approach as an adjustment to the therapeutic approach might be necessary.

"Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place." ~Paulo Coelho
